CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

Why Study Corporate Governance?

All aspects of an organisation have an impact on and are impacted by Corporate Governance. These aspects include but are not limited to leadership, strategy, and the board of directors. IIE MSA appreciates that the way businesses enact Corporate Governance is not consistent and that this contributes to corporate failure. With Corporate Governance being imperative to an organisation’s success, corporate governance studies are a step in the direction of pushing organisations and their leaders towards ethical and profitable frontiers.

The IIE Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Governance offered at IIE MSA assumes limited prior knowledge to the field and is suitable for working professionals with limited governance experience right through to directors of boards with a wealth of experience seeking to broaden and update their horizon of knowledge. With 6 modules comprehensively tackling the core issues in Corporate Governance, this qualification leaves the learner with practical skills to combat challenges in governance in their own places of work.

The corporate governance programme consists of the following modules:

  • Corporate Governance and Law
  • Corporate Governance
  • Ethical Business Decision Making
  • Integrated Financial Reporting and Auditing
  • Risk Management
  • Research Methodology
